Your South Texas Trophy Deer hunt will begin on a Friday at noon with a home cooked lunch and a trip to our rifle range to shoot your gun. Afterward, you will have sometime to settle in to our comfortable hunting lodge and discus your first hunt that begins late afternoon on Friday. Our Trophy Hunts will begin with a discussion on the size and characteristics of the buck you will be hunting along with a review of the ranch map.
After the first evening deer hunting on Friday, we will settle in for a great meal followed by plenty of relaxation. For the next two days we will give you the opportunity to not only hunt your deer of choice, but also fish, hunt javalina and predators from our high ranch truck, and take a tour of the ranch.
When hunting the South Texas brush country, you can generally plan a mild winter with average low temperatures in the mid 40’s to highs in the upper 60’s. So heavy winter clothing is not an necessity, but wearing layers is very important as the weather warms each day and cools off dramatically in early mornings.
What makes the Vaughn Whitetail Ranch special is our love of service and attention to the smallest details with every guest. Whether you are shooting a magnificent Trophy Whitetail Buck or experiencing your first deer hunt, you will be treated like a part of the family. We are a Christian based business and believe in respect and transparency with every guest, hunter, and non hunter.
